I am Vytautas Ramanauskas. 

Product and user experience designer, currently working at Billo.app.  

 

I try to perfectly balance user and business needs to create delightful products.

After graduation from Law at Vilnius University, I learned to observe, collaborate, and emphasize. After spending 4 years in the legal industry, I spent another 2.5 years in the Digital Marketing / Product area. I believe that a multidisciplinary skill set is essential to be able to create and perfect user experiences of products.

​

Sound knowledge of the design principles and a good eye for aesthetics serve as a tool for my most recent work - making Billo the world’s leading user-generated videos (UGC) marketplace with a bold goal - to make 1 out of every 10 videos UGC videos ordered through Billo. 

At Billo, I develop products and new functionalities by making informed decisions using user research (interviews & extensive usability testing), analyzing user flows, wireframing, prototyping, solving information architecture challenges, and creating the UI that works best for our users.

For me, the design is optimistic. It brings new things into the world. Designers (such as myself) take on problems, model them, frame them, and create responses through the distribution of material, real or virtual, in space. 

​

I believe that optimism is the only way forward. No, not that naive optimism, supported by people saying "I am a designer because I want to make people's lives better, and to improve them" or to avoid calling out what's not working or just wrong just for the same of keeping it "nice looking." No, not that. But how I call it "pragmatic optimism" which is focused on tangible action, and which understands how to turn frustration into motivation to create better things in the world.
